Anthony Costello

Anthony Costello grew up in a traditional Roman Catholic home on the South Side of Chicago and, having fallen away from his childhood faith for almost 15 years, became an Evangelical Christian after a dramatic religious conversion at the age of 34. While serving in the military, Anthony experienced combat in Afghanistan with the 82D ABN Division, and while there realized the only thing that can truly change the human heart, and the world, is the power and love of Jesus Christ. After finishing his time at Fort Bragg, NC, Anthony and his wife moved to Southern California to pursue his MA in Christian Apologetics at Biola University. Anthony has three boys, Colson (6), Schaeffer (4), and Clive (2).

Anthony has a BA from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN and two Masters Degrees from Talbot School of Theology, Biola University in Christian Apologetics and Theology. In May, 2018 he won the Baker Academic Book Award for Theological Excellence at Talbot School of Theology. Anthony's areas of focus are Apologetics, Systematic Theology, and Catholic Evangelical Dialogue. He has published in academic journals (Luther Rice Journal of Christian Studies) and magazines (Touchstone), and co-authored two chapters in Evidence that Demands a Verdict, edited by Josh and Sean McDowell. Anthony is the director of the Catholic Evangelical series, Truth That Matters, held twice a year at Biola University, and the founder of the New Hope Academy in Norwalk, CA (https://www.newhopeacademy.info).
